Project ID 199GLO4641
In the context of the 2003 Convention's global capacity-building programme, this activity aims to strengthen capacities to safeguard and mobilize intangible cultural heritage in situations of conflict and forced displacement. It will involve the development of training materials for conducting community-based needs identifications and the testing of this approach through community workshops in one pilot country. The findings will be presented in a handbook to relevant national and international actors to enhance awareness on the dual role of intangible cultural heritage in conflict, both as being directly under threat and as a source or resilience and recovery.
