Project ID 199GLO4841

Government authorities, relevant stakeholders and practitioners in Ghana and the Gambia have acknowledged that the various issues, modalities and implications related to the 2003 Convention need to be better understood and capacity-building is necessary to assist them. For these reasons a 2 year project has been developed for the respective countries in order for all relevant stakeholders to be trained on how to better safeguard their ICH through the effective implementation of the 2003 Convention and its mechanisms, a reflection on policy issues and the establishment of a community-based inventory with a pilot exercise.
