Yemen was part of the first group of countries that joined the GPE. This is a joint UN project where the partners are UNICEF, WFP and UNESCO. UNICEF is the contributing agency from the GPE fund, when UNESCO and WFP are the reviving and implementing partners. the project is aiming to • Strengthening institutional capacities through deployment and management of an Education Management Information System (EMIS) and supporting the Ministry of Education to improve the Education Management and Information System (EMIS). The intervention is aimed to provide technical support and build the capacity of MoE to collect, analyse and utilize accurate data to inform decision making and sector planning.
