Building on the YEMIS Phase 1 implemented by UNESCO-Beirut in 2020-2022 to support the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Yemen in building an EMIS for an emergency context, this Phase 2 is aimed at consolidating Yemen's capacities to collect and analyse education data by, with a whole-of-Yemen approach, with the aim of having a national education census for the Whole of Yemen for the school year 2024-2025. The work will ultimately contribute to building an evidence-based decision-making process for education planning and governance by 2030, which will be grounded in the Education Sector Plan 2024-2030 under development with the support of UNESCO-Beirut.
