A consortium of 7 partner organisations, led by UNEP, will plan and implement the ReLISA project aiming at making the economic case for landscape-level restoration and create the conditions for a just transition of South Africa's land-use sector by restoring degraded key biomes (grasslands, savannas, thicket), while recognising the socio-cultural, economic and land tenure context; UNESCO will design and implement Work Package 5 related to ecosystem restoration in Biosphere Reserves through Payments for ecosystem services.
