Project ID 2210111011

Despite the considerable progress made over the past years, the world is far from ensuring that all people have equal education & lifelong learning opportunities. This situation is particularly dire for those affected by armed conflicts & natural disasters. Educationally, 1 in 4 of the world's school-aged children and youth live in crisis-affected countries. The global pandemic put them at further risk of exclusion from learning & life opportunities. Guided by normative instruments & strategies, UNESCO will substantially expand supporting Member States to accelerate progress towards SDG4 by strengthening preparedness, response & resilience in education in emergencies & post-disaster contexts through mutually linked strategic actions with Field Offices, Institutes, HQ Divisions & Sectors.
