Project ID 2210141023
UNESCO will strengthen skills development for youth and adults through TVET and STEM to meet individual, labour market and societal demands. This includes support to countries to improve the relevance of their systems through policy support and dialogue, capacity development and technical assistance, as well as improved evidence and knowledge. UNESCO will strive to enhance lifelong learning, wherein learners can benefit from diversified learning pathways, mechanisms of recognition, validation and accreditation of non-formal and informal learning. Due attention will be given to gender equality and the challenges emerging from Covid-19, particularly the need for reskilling and upskilling to enhance wellbeing and employability, as well as the specific needs of Africa and SIDS.
