In response to the global literacy challenges, this activity intends to advance the global literacy agenda and provide support to UNESCO Member States for the promotion of youth and adult literacy, guided by the UNESCO Strategy for Youth and Adult Literacy (2020-2025). This activity is part of UNESCO's broader efforts to achieve Output 1 ED 4: Learners are equipped with relevant skills to meet individual, labour market and societal demands through literacy, TVET, STEM and higher education' of the UNESCO Programme and Budget for 2022-2025 (41 C/5) and thus will contribute to the achievement of the SDG4 on 'Ensure inclusive & equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all'.
