Project ID 2210142021
Southern Africa is facing numerous grand challenges that intersect. These include unemployment and poverty, food and water insecurity and climate change amongst others. Societies create education systems to play the role of knowledge production and skills development to address these human challenges. Since education is a human right, basic literacy skills, TVET and higher education as well as the post-school education and training programmes should adopt a strong commitment to quality, inclusive, sustainable education to ensure the desired transformation of economies and societies. The education sector needs to pro-actively build relevant partnerships and programmes that collectively strengthen capacity for addressing current and future challenges in transformative ways
