Project ID 2210172031

UNESCO is entrusted with the global, regional and country-level coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of SDG4. In Africa, the UNESCO Nairobi office, together with the Dakar office, is responsible for SDG4 coordination. This is done in close cooperation with relevant national stakeholders, regional organisations, UNESCO specialised institutes and other UN agencies. The UIS is also a valued partner in our work in the sub-region. As the major repository of education data, the UIS is a valuable resource centre for up to date data on education and related issues. The Office will continue to support countries in the sub-region to build their capacity in this area and will carry out its assignment over the next quadrennial period.
