Water education and capacity development processes are essential to achieve water targets of the 2030 Agenda. Enhancing institutional and human capacities in MS as well as reinforcing the critical mass of water professionals and public awareness would also contribute to consolidate a more sustainable base for the achievements in the context of the water International Decade and in the realisation of the human right to water and sanitation. Aligned with IHP-IX (priority area 2 and other relevant PAs), 15 MS (4 in Africa, 3 SIDS) will be supported, the Water Family will train 10000 additional people (4000 women, 1000 youth) for addressing complex water challenges, and IHP National Committees will be supported and trained to use WINS (50 additional MS; 25 in Africa, 5 SIDS).
