Project ID 2210222131

The implementation of the ninth programmatic phase (IHP-IX) will rely heavily on the active participation of the IHP national committees and the other members of the water family. The external mid-term evaluation of IHP-VIII, recommends that each national committee should (a) have clearly defined functions, including specific roles, specific targets, and increased interaction with and support to policy makers; and (b) that each UNESCO water family be accountable for the implementation of specific outputs of the programme. Addressing the operational function and limiting capacity of national IHP committees is essential for successful implementation and monitoring of IHP strategic plan. This activity aims to enable exchange of experience and knowledge among various IHP committees.
