Project ID 2210223011

In the Maghreb region, water security is threatened under the combined effect of water scarcity, dictated by an unfavourable natural context, human activities and climate change which, in addition, tends to accentuate the frequency and the intensity of extreme events: droughts and floods. In accordance with its IHP program and its strategy linked to climate change, UNESCO will contribute through the actions that will be implemented by the Rabat Office to the change of paradigm at all levels with regard to water, the strengthening of capacities of water stakeholders and adaptation of water policies to internal constraints and global challenges related to water.
