Project ID 2210242051

African countries acknowledge the critical roles that Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) could play in their pursuit of the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals as well as the goals and aspirations of the African Union's Agenda 2063. However, this has to supported by enabling policies, institutions and financial mechanisms which are also critical in confronting the major challenges ahead for achieving the 2030 Agenda, such as conserving freshwater (SDG 6); building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation (SDG 9); and combatting climate change (SDG 13). This activity will support the development of evidenced-based STI policies I Eastern Africa.
