The major problem facing STI policies and governance in the ECOWAS region is the inability of STI managers to demonstrate its impact and contribution to socio-economic development. To increase the contribution of science, technology, and innovation (STI) to national development, cooperation across countries and regions it is important to spur innovation and knowledge development. The activity will focus on the mobilization of knowledge based on south-south cooperation in Africa which shall used to improve the monitoring of STI policies and hence support improved STI system governance.
