Science and technology are the main drivers of industrial, economic and social development. Developing countries share different levels of challenges hindering them to promote their research, science, technology and innovation systems. Having many similarities, developing countries can benefit from the experience of one another through south-south cooperation. At this activity the UNESCO cluster countries will be supported to improves: public awareness on the role of science in sustainable development, capacity building of science centre and science museums in Pakistan and organizing a consultation workshop in Turkmenistan to raise awareness for investment in STI for economic growth and sustainable development.
