Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) play a fundamental role in the creation of wealth, economic development, in the improvement of the quality of life of citizens, in the development of new capacities, as well as in the conservation of natural ecosystems. Our Strategy through this Activity is therefore crucial to reinforce the Caribbean SIDS capacity to: (i) design their proper science policies in view of stimulating knowledge accumulation and diffusion, including Open science (ii) identify technology policy opportunities for the sub-region (iii) achieve better regional coordination in technology policy (iv) drive institutional building and restructuring of their science ecosystems.
