The IOC Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Pacific Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (ICG/PTWS) and UNESCO Apia Office work together towards increased tsunami preparedness in SIDS Member States and communities through in-country training on Tsunami Early Warning Systems, pilot Tsunami Ready recognition for communities and finalization/updating of Tsunami Early Warning and Response Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).The ICG/PTWS proactively seeks partnerships for more knowledge products aimed at practitioners, better coordination, and greater insights into training opportunities around the region.
