This workstream supports UNESCO's global flagship Fit for Life through activities in the Asia-Pacific Region. Sport and physical activity play an important role in healthy lifestyles, emotional well-being and performance, including academic performance. Fit for Life brings together data, policy and action to strengthen the role and impact of sport and physical activity as a development tool. Key areas of action include physical education in schools, motivating youth as champions for sport and using sport for social change.
