León is one of those cities in Latin America that understands the importance of sport for its sustainable development, and the role it has in its social strengthening agenda. León was proclaimed the American Capital of Sports 2023 an din this framework we will establish a regional network. The creation of a Latin American network of sports cities has unbeatable conditions for its realization and would constitute a necessary and irreplaceable contribution to the development of cities and sports in the region. Likewise, the participation of LAC in the 2023 MINEPS Conference is foreseen through this project.
