Project ID 2210513071

Yemen possesses a rich cultural and natural heritage, which has been severely affected by the ongoing armed conflict, causing internal displacement of the population, severe economic decline, extensive damage to infrastructure and cultural assets across the country. Despite the past and ongoing efforts, there is a need to enhance technical capacities so that mechanisms are in place to respond to the threats impacting the authenticity and integrity of the urban fabric. This programme aims at enchaining capacities for improved conservation, protection and management of properties in Yemen, inscribed on the World Heritage List in Danger through the implementation of training activities and raising awareness among young people of the role of historic buildings in shaping the OUV of the cities.
