East African Member States capacities will be strengthened to fight the illicit trafficking of cultural property and promote its return and restitution through capacity building in inventories of museum collections. Guidelines will be developed for presenting underwater cultural heritage to the public in museums. The role of museums for societies will be promoted through organization of a regional museum conference for East Africa.
