This activity will support the effective implementation of the 2001 Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage in Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire, by building the capacity of the focal persons and institutions of the Convention to develop and implement an inventory of the underwater cultural heritage of the two countries. It will also support the development of a sustainable blue economy to encourage the achievement of national economic growth and development.
