This activity aims at strengthening capacities in LAC for the protection of the underwater cultural heritage, the fight against illicit traffic of cultural property and the role of museums by capitalizing on achievements of the previous biennium on training activities, awareness raising actions as well as in the creation of regional networks. This includes the promotion of the LAC adapted version of the UNESCO Training Manual for the Foundation Course on the Protection and Management of Underwater Cultural Heritage as well as training tools in support of the fight against illicit traffic and of the Recommendation concerning the Protection and Promotion of Museums and Collections, their Diversity and their Role in Society.
