East African State Parties to the 2003 Convention will be supported with participatory monitoring of policies, measures and other activities to safeguard intangible cultural heritage involving a wide range of stakeholders as part of the periodic reporting cycle. A pilot project will be undertaken to safeguard intangible cultural heritage among refugee communities in Kenya with the hope of replicating the practice at refugee camps around the region and the world in collaboration with UNHCR.
