Nepal has rich, diverse communities. Challenges are no coherent policy, data gap, intergenerational transmission at risk, exclusion of communities in meaningful initiatives. In line with 41C/5 Outcome 5, Output 5.CLT4 & Country Strategy, UNESCO will support Nepal to have improved regulatory frameworks: • Enhance capacity to integrate ICH in education; elaborate national inventory; advance nomination, • Support building the resilience of artists/knowledge bearers/practitioners and facilitate societal leaders & youth to champion safeguarding initiatives linking sustainable development, • In the context of IDIL 2022-2032, support to formulate National Action Plan in the framework of Global & Regional Action Plans, with an inter-ministerial meeting for the launch event in 2022.
