The UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa will support eight Southern African countries covered by the Regional Office, namely Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, in implementing the 2005 Convention and support the efforts of Zambia to ratify this standard-setting instrument in order to promote the diversity of cultural expressions through dynamic and inclusive cultural and creative industries for sustainable development and lasting peace in the region.
