This workplan supports the regional processes in the Arab States towards the organization of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies - Mondiacult 2022 planned for 28-30 September 2022 in Mexico. The regional consultation aims to capture national and regional trends in cultural policies, gaps and challenges and identify critical priorities as regard cultural policies in the years to come. It will involve national authorities, regional intergovernmental organizations, academia and sub-regional and regional civil society organizations and networks to ensure its inclusiveness. This workplan also supports communication, outreach and engagement activities in Arabic to enhance synergy between education and culture for sustainable development.
