Traditional knowledge contribute to food security (SDG 2), health care (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), productive employment and decent work (SDG 8), and climate change (SDG 13). Culture is therefore both a driver that contributes directly to obtain economic, social and environmental benefits, as well as a facilitator that strengthens the effectiveness of programs, projects and measures of cooperation for development. It is in this sense that the UNESCO Office in Mexico proposes to develop an analytical framework to identify and strengthen the links between tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as local creativity, as key assets of the economic, social and environmental development of agricultural communities, particularly those near a MAB Reserve.
