Within the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL) and implementation of the Global Action Plan, UNESCO aims to enhance capacities of Member states, civil, academic, public-private partners and UN system agencies to preserve, revitalize and promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism, particular indigenous languages. The activity will contribute to the development and implementation of supportive regulatory policies and mechanisms as well production of appropriate content in indigenous languages. This activity will be implemented working in close cooperation with a range of stakeholders.
