The activity supports the implementation of the Global Action Plan of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL) in Africa, in particular the use of multilingualism in cyberspace, through awareness-raising, capacity-building and regional cooperation for linguistic diversity and multilingualism. Actions are designed to increase the engagement of Governments, indigenous peoples' organizations and regional organizations mandated to promote African languages to take the lead in the implementation of IDIL in Africa.
