Project ID 2210621051

Within the UN system, UNESCO has been designated as custodian agency for SDG Indicator 16.10.2 on public access to information (ATI). Under this mandate, UNESCO has been collecting data from Member States on progress towards this indicator using a reporting instrument (global survey), with a view to improving policies and practices in this field. Working with multi-stakeholders, UNESCO strengthens national capacity of Member States to assess, advocate for, and inform about, the status of implementation of access to ATI. The objective is to mobilize duty bearers to introduce/improve policies and practices that improve public access to information.
