Project ID 2210632041

The Media in Southern Africa is going though sustainability challenges caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, competition from digital platforms, and the collapse of legacy media business models. All these challenges call for the need for States to implement seeping changes in policies as well as better journalism training to re-skill in-service and pre-service journalists to adapt to the new global media operating environment. This project therefore seeks to support UNESCO member states in enhancing media pluralism and excellence in gender- responsive journalism training and capacity strengthening for the achievement of sustainable development
