Project ID 2210641011
This project aims to reinforce efforts at preservation and accessibility of documentary heritage through a more robust Memory of the World (MoW) Programme. This trajectory will require adequate policies and strengthened capacities to support memory institutions and other key actors in preserving and providing access to documentary heritage. It also requires the development of concrete strategies for its preservation and accessibility, such as through digitization and disaster risk reduction measures. In this regard, the MoW International Register can be used as a conduit for capacity-building for the identification of documentary heritage of historical and world significance, especially in Africa and SIDS.
