"Fostering preservation and access to information and documentary heritage through open solutions and Memory of the World" aims to engage custodians of documentary heritage in Asia and the Pacific in preserving and providing access to documentary heritage. Activities include capacity building in digitizing collections using open tools, the sharing of knowledge in and application of local conservation solutions to help meet the need for a more cost-effective and sustainable approach to the preservation, and increased support to nomination of documentary heritage collections from the region to the MoW Regional and International Registers.
