Project ID 221LIR1001
The UNMIL made valuable interventions in Liberia to mitigate the Liberian conflict situation of 1990 - 2003 which had a high devastating magnitude to the country. However, during the operations of the (UNMIL) there were reports of SEA acts committed by the peacekeepers. The victims were identified and provided support in Literacy and education. Following successful implementation of the project UNESCO requested a vocational and skills development project as an empowerment mechanism for the women. The project aims to provide women with vocational as well as business and entrepreneurial training.
