The European Union and the ACP Secretariat have launched a call for proposals to select a regional hub for the management of grants in the context of the ACP-EU CULTURE: Supporting the cultural and creative sectors in the ACP countries. The grants will benefit 1) growth of the creative sector's economic revenue 2) creation of jobs linked to the cultural sector; 3) improved accessibility and recognition and commercial exploitation of artists and their work. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Cluster Office for the Caribbean, in partnership with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) successfully bid for the project and began implementation of the project in January 2021.
