Project ID 2230841451

In line with the Regional Office for Southern Africa Draft Resource Mobilization Plan (2022-2025) and the office's Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy, UNESCO ROSA seeks to develop a regional flagship programme to enhance resilience of communities through education via community radios. The programme aims to support crisis and disaster-prone communities in Southern Africa by minimizing disruption to education in primary and secondary school students, before during and after an emergency response. The RM activity will develop a well-documented case study demonstrating how teaching via community radio can strengthen disaster resilience and recovery in an emergency setting and support the raising of additional funding for a regional programme.
