Torrential rains, related flooding, and landslides have caused major damage to peoples as well as loss of property, but also eight educational institutions on the Island, in particular the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School, were severely impacted. The destruction included extensive damage to school facilities, massive losses of equipment, furniture, books and other school materials and supplies.
