UNESCO's work is guided by UNESCO Strategy on Health and Well-being. The goal of the strategy is to contribute to improved health and education outcomes for all learners through support to national education sectors and other key stakeholders to adopt a comprehensive approach to school health and well-being. At national level, UNESCO's work is guided by National Strategic Framework (NSF) for HIV and AIDS in Namibia and the UN Joint Programme of Support on HIV and AIDS. It contributes directly to the national targets on reducing new HIV infection, gender-based violence and early and unintended pregnancies among young people.
