UNESCO's work on HIV and AIDS is guided by UNESCO Strategy on Health and Well-being. The goal of the strategy is to contribute to improved health and education outcomes for all learners through support to national education sectors and other key stakeholders to adopt a comprehensive approach to school health and well-being. At national level, UNESCO's work is guided by National Strategic Framework (NSF) 2023/24 - 2027/28 ) for HIV and AIDS in Namibia and the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF) 2019-2023. It contributes directly to the national targets on reducing new HIV infection, gender-based violence and early and unintended pregnancies among young people in Namibia
