Comprehensive knowledge of HIV transmission amongst AYPs in Nigeria is still low. Part of the underlying challenges are the poor implementation of FLHE in schools. Within the framework UBRAF's high priority area 2: Primary Prevention young people and persons in Humanitarian emergencies, UNESCO will continue to advocate, promote and strengthen capacities for primary prevention including on gender equality and GBV for effective epidemic control with a focus on AYPs, women and girls. It will support the capacity building of teachers to deliver quality FLHE, develop protocol for preventing, monitoring and reporting on SRGBV and pilot in selected schools.
