The EU funded Spotlight Initiative is a global partnership launched in 2017 to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. In Zimbabwe focus is on eliminating Sexual Gender-based Violence (SGBV) and Harmful Practices (HP)s against women and girls). The broad implementation strategy is through the creation of partnership with Civil Society, Government, Private Sector, and Media & through building a social movement of women, men, girls and boys as champions and agents of change. The initiative contributes to SDGs 3 and 5 among others.
