Project ID 402EGY4003.2

After having been urged by the World Heritage Committee, to establish a management plan for the entire property of Memphis in 2007 , and for Karnak, Luxor and the West Bank in 2008, the Egyptian authorities have submitted official requests to the World Heritage Centre for a general support in their forthcoming activities related to the management of the sites: the available funds will cover the international experts' missions and fees, as well as training of Site Managers. In September 2011 the implementation of that project was decentralized to UNESCO Cairo Culture Unit.
