This is a programme open to multiple donors wishing to support media development and media and information literacy. It contributes to SDGs 4, 5, 13.a, 16 and 17. It particularly assists Member States to ensure media pluralism by fostering community media as part of the essential mix of public, private and non-profit media. The Account also supports gender equality in both media operations and content, youth media production, as well as media and information literacy. Besides, the Account aims to strengthen Member States and media organizations' capacities on crisis preparedness and response and on dealing with related issues such as climate change, terrorism, and migration.
