Rapid population growth, urbanization and economic development have created new and similar demands for sustainable conservation and management of World Heritage sites in China and in the Africa Region. Through targeted partnerships, capacity-building and knowledge-sharing among States Parties and World Heritage sites in China and Africa, site managers and heritage practitioners can be better equipped to develop effective conservation and management strategies that improve state of conservation of World Heritage properties and safeguard heritage for sustainable development.
