A study on the African cinema identifies the needs of the film industry in Africa and reviews the existing legal and institutional framework to enhance the development of the film industry within the continent. The study includes online consultation with State Parties to the 2005 Convention for the Protection and the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and proposes strategic recommendations for a future cooperation programme.
