The UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) aims to reward outstanding efforts of institutions, organizations or other entities engaged in activities on ESD, within the framework of "ESD: Towards achieving the SDGs" (2020-2030) - ESD for 2030. It will be awarded biennially to three winners that are implementing exceptional ESD programmes or projects.
