This project will be carried out in the context of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, and will build on the significant achievements in previous projects supported by the Government of Sweden. The overall objective of the project is to generate and share critical ocean knowledge to support sustainable ocean management. It will be based on three main pillars: ocean literacy, Marine Spatial Planning and supporting partners in Africa to become active partners in the UN Ocean Decade.
