The objective of this project proposal is to make of the Center for the restoration of Islamic Manuscripts of the Haram al Sharif, in Jerusalem, an operational, autonomous and sustainable entity by the end of the project, in 2020, able to safeguard this unique Islamic heritage. The project will include a Conservation assessment of the Center; the elaboration of a 10-year conservation and management strategy; the reinforcement of the capacities of the staff; the restoration of the premises; the digitization and inventory of the collections; and the human and material reinforcement of the Center. The project will be developed over an estimated period of 3 years.
